WHO? Hi! It’s me Hannah, your photographer best friend! HKP is a one woman show – so I’m your planner, wardrobe consultant, giggle extractor, artwork planner, and gift wrap expert. I’m also known as HannahBanana, RN and most of all, Mama.

WHAT? A boutique photographer – what’s that? I’m a family photographer who specializes in newborns and children who takes an entirely hands-on approach. Each session is tailored to meet the unique needs of my clients. I work closely with you to ensure that you have a wonderful session, easy experience, and most importantly you are thrilled with your images.

WHY? I am a people person, through and through. So in addition to capturing your sweet family, the connections I make with my client and telling their stories just fill my cup!

HOW? From your first inquiry to hand delivering your images – I am YOUR photographer every step of the way. I offer a complete experience: planning, a full service studio, a curated list of vendors and products, Client Closet, and ordering guidance to fit your every need. Throughout the pages you’ll see others sharing their experience with HKP, both their images and the level of service that I provide. Clients become fast friends and it makes me so happy to be part of your family’s story.

WHERE? HKP has 2 locations for photos: the HKP Homestead hosts outdoor sessions and the HKP studio is located on our Mayberry-esque Main Street of Chatham Virginia. The studio is especially designed for newborns and the littles and packed with all the blankets, headbands, and other props you can need. From a diapering station to coffee bar, my goal is to make it easy on you! The Viewing room has the big screen to proof all your gorgeous images as well and a curated selection of products so we can get those faces from jpgs to jaw-dropping wall art.

WHEN? Est 2017, HKP started out as a home studio and a satellite office within the MotherBaby Unit of our local hospital offering onsite newborn mini sessions. In 2020 the Main Street Studio opened after months of renovation and design to make it juuuuuust right for you.
I am thrilled to share my new website with you! Stay tuned – the blog is a great resource for parents who are looking for tips and advice on how to prepare for a photo session, what to wear, and how to get the most out of their session. I also share some of my favorite images and stories from recent sessions. I hope you’ll enjoy looking at my work and get a sense for my approach to photography. From newborns, children, and families, there’s no shortage of cute over here!
